There is an article with step by step instructions on the procedure in the May edition of JP magazine. It shows all the different modes you can set it to.

Just in case it helps anyone.

Just checked and its also on their website:

I had the dealership try. They were unable to ever get it to work. I can go through the motions and it will disable but it is not permanent like it is supposed to be. I am not aware of anybody who has successfully had it work. I have asked this very question in another thread on this site.

Went back to dealer. he reflashed it, and the ESP is now completely disabled. the yellow squiggles stay on and the odometer reads espoff each time i start it. My jeep is a very early '07 probably the first in MA.

Good information... Confirmation that if it is really off, it should read ESPOFF every time I start my jeep. Did the dealer turn it off for you or did you have to follow the instructions on turning it completely off?

Hey cool I was in Traverse City a few years ago.

Anyway,

I took mine in to the stealer for a few issues, including the ESP/BAS system going haywire. I presented the service dude with a printout of the TSB and he told me that "we don't do that. You can't just print those out and bring them in. The only way we do a TSB is if we find out there is one that applies."

Sure thing, hoss. Anyway, got the Jeep back today and of course they did it. Free.

Took my copy of JP out to the sled and followed the instructions. Worked on the second time.

Those clowns must have been pissed at me, because look what they did to my grill emblem- the immaturity around these stealerships is pathetic!
