Default 16 in stock metal rims with 225 tires question - center hub

Is the "jeep" center hub piece required to properly seat the lug nuts on these rims? I have 5 rims that I want to use in daily driving mode but no center hub piece. Will they tighten down without it?

I think I found the answer and the center cap is not required. Does anyone run without on the 16 inch steel wheels?

I have the wheels but no center caps and would like to run them for daily driving.
