Default 1st time changing diff fluid question

I've found some good instructions and it looks pretty easy.
My question is this....
I don't have LSD ( according to my build sheet ), and all the oils i am finding have additives for LSD.
Can i use an oil with those additives? or do i need to look harder and find an oil without them.?
Thanks

Yes you can use oil with the additive. Just not the other way around.

Jeep recommends synthetic and a higher weight in the rear if you plan to tow. Someone on here said it is a little easier to reach the rear filler hole if you jack up the rear of the jeep slightly to raise the frame.

I've used a drill pump to fill my diffs. Worked great.

I used a hand pump from harbor freight. Best $5 I've spent there. Complete change of fluid in less than 30 min for both

Why not just use the bottle the fluid comes in? That's why it has the pointy tip. Stick it in the fill hole and squeeze. Takes 30 seconds a bottle.

those pumps don't like to pump the heavy gear oil some times if its cold out . the bottle it comes in is the easiest

And that's what I did. That's why I bought 4 quarts instead of a gallon.

Depends on your diff covers too. I have teraflex covers had no issues just sitting underneath and using the bottle fluid came in

Those pointy bottles do not fit to pour into your differentials. Unless you want most of the oil on the ground.

Pep boys sells a hand pump that fits over empty windsheild washer 1gallon bottles. I use that. Just make sure its clean.
