Default 2008 JK Exhaust Issue

Hey, my first post, I've had my JK for almost a year and love it. My catalytic converter manifold pipe recently broke right where it connects to the mid pipe. There is nothing wrong with my cats but the last 5 +/- inches the slide into the mid pipe broke. The pipe isn't in great shape but it's solid.

I'm in NY which means insane prices for cats that I can't even find. I'm considering a Federal emission cat (it's a California setup) or possibly a short connector pipe. I know it's a cob job doing that, but I just don't want to spend thousands on cats, it has 104k on it so I can't justify dumping thousands.

What would you do/recommend?

Thanks.

Have you gone to a muffler shop and see if they can repair it?
