And no, I don't plan on telling the dealer how to fix it, but I do prefer to be informed about what the heck is going on.
Then I would ask the dealer what they found and why they replaced what they replaced. On a new vehicle there can be infant mortality of components which can break and strand you.

We can chime in on all kinds of stuff but none of us can see or touch your jeep we can only guess. Some of the guys on this forum have some good insight as they have seen these things. Thus the guesses you have so far.

So I am saying we may not be much help with your problem, but we need you to tell us what they found in the end, as it might be something easy that could be a trail fix one day if we have the knowledge.

Sounds like what mine did this summer. When it happened, the ETC (red lightning bolt) light flashed in the console.

Default Update!!

Updated:

"unable to replicate customer concern" - Which is actually untrue, when it was towed in, they attempted to start it and immediately chalked it up to a dead battery. Then, the following Monday, it started just fine.

Two weeks later, it now does not start after getting fully warmed up. When starting, it sounded rough the moment I picked it up from the dealer. Now, it gets progressively worse.

Lets see if attaching a video works.

Don't believe his goal is to tell the tech how to fix the problem, kinda what these type forums are for, to also figure out what is wrong so you can be educated.

Again, don't think he is looking for an exact diagnosis, just asking if others have had similar problems on a new Jeep.

Maybe you should tip the Jeep back onto all 4 wheels.....just kidding, the vid is sideways....

Anyway, my 09 has not had this problem, but my WJ had a similar issue. It would start cold, run fine, get warmed up, start missing, running rough, and die. Would start back later and would either have the same problem, or not. Very random. It would also throw a code. I found out that my #7 coil pack that sits on top of the spark plug was shorting out, causing a misfire on cyl 7. Fixed that, didn't have a problem again. Not sure if this even relates to your issue being the WJ was a 4.7L V8, but I share this due to similar symptoms.

Keep us updated. The dealer would get one more chance, then I would find a new dealer if possible.

Default Another update

Took it to the dealer last week, they said it was a dead battery. Picked up the vehicle that evening and it was fine. Two days later, the problem strikes again and it will not start even when cold - this time I'm several states away from home visiting relatives. After a few tries and about 30 minutes, it finally starts.

When arriving home after the long trip, it refuses to start again and now it's sitting at the dealer.

I've had one spooky moment in my 09. Sitting in stop-and-go traffic it stumbled like it was going to die. Headlights dimmed and tach started to drop. I pushed the clutch in and gave it some gas. Everything was fine. Hasn't happened again (knock on wood).

But your story does worry me.
