Need help troubling shooting my broken passenger seat on my 09' 2 door wrangler.

When you push the release lever to push the seat forward to gain access to the back seats -- the only thing that happens is the seat folds down, but does not slide forward. It is stuck on the track and it requires me to manually lift the adjuster bar in the front of the seat to move it forward to get passengers in the back.

I checked the cable that is attached to the lever and seems to be connected firmly on both ends. Any suggestions?
