My 07 Gets very hot too so for 4 years and 52,000 miles no problems just a hot switch!

Hey, that was / is a good question.

I have a habit of turning on the full lighting every time, so I cannot really answer that right now.

I will try to make a trip without and see what happens.

That being said, I do have the mopar heated heat kit and the backlighting does heat that thing up oretty good.

Have a 2011 with auto climate and I have no issues with excessive heat on any of the controls.

Cool, yeah I wouldn't expect any issues with the >2011 set-up, the blower motor speed is controlled remotely by the knob.

I am not freaking out about this much, didn't know if it would melt down one day.

Thanks for the feedback. I may mention it so it is documented but thats about it for now.
