Default 2012 6 speed help

So heres the issue im having,

https://youtu.be/qTnpv-jtAI0

I have just replaced the clutch with a centerforce kit with a new flywheel, clutch, tob, and pilot bearing, plus a new slave cylinder. Theres about 500 miles on this setup. I had the EXACT same noise before replacing the above mentioned items. The noise is there while in gear or neutral, while moving or standing with the clutch all the way UP/RELEASED. As soon as i touch the clutch pedal the noise is gone.

Similar noise here after doing SPEC clutch, their TOB, new pilot bearing, and cleaning the flywheel up.

I contacted them and got basically "you're the first we've ever heard of and we're not going to do anything about it". I went on ahead and purchased the National brand bearing with no noise so far.

Attached video has the noise- happened after 9-10k miles and I've not heard anything out of the new bearing, we'll see how long it lasts. The National has a 3yr warranty.

So, I had the same issue. Changed out my clutch the first time while changing throw out bearing and pilot bearing. Second time, i just changed the throw out bearing and pilot bearing. By the time I was convinced it was not the bearings, my tranny was damaged beyond repair. What do I mean by that, the main bearing was toast, which had a cascading effect. I needed new gears, syncro's, forks, and shafts.

So, my advise to you, take it to the dealer and tell them its the transmission. Insist they look at the bearings in the transmission. Should be covered by warranty.

To be fair, the transmission is a Mercedes Benz product. Says so right on the box a new one ships in. But, I agree it is a very poor transmission. I've been buying and driving almost exclusively sticks for over a half century, and this MB product has the lousiest shift feel of any of them. And that includes some FWD transaxles that felt better!

The 5-speed auto is a MB product, I don't believe the 6-speed manual is though.

As far as the noise, if you just touch the clutch pedal and the noise goes away, it's most likely the tob. Mine is all stock/original and it makes noise. More so when hot and if I've been playing in the dirt. Good to know replacements won't make it any better.

I thought this was the case as well. Unfortunately it's not the case, the noise went away when I pressed in the clutch as well.

But typically, the odds are in your favor its the TOB. However, if you have changed it and you still hear the sound... then you should assume its the transmission.

The Centerforce kits are hit and miss on rather they ship with a National brand or Mopar TOB. When you order, do it over the phone, and insist on your package containing the National brand TOB. The tolerances and materials used in the Mopar version are absolute SH*T!

i bought a national separately. the centerforce bearing was not used. nevertheless, there's no way the either bearing would fail after 5 days...
