My JKU was built in Feb/Jan of 2012. I now have over 25,000 miles on it. It has been flawless with no ticks. I've even towed a heavy trailer in the mountains in the summer. No problems. I switched to synthetic oil at 10,000 miles.

June 12 with 7700 miles and no noises except a broken heat shield over the muffler. Damaged during shipping and fixed under warranty.

Boss has a 1/12 build date, 17k miles both heads replaced.
Mine is a 3/12 build date, 17k miles no problems.

No Tick
No problems whatsoever.

I get some lifter noise for a second on start up, after that it's very quiet. Using Mobil 1 5W30 if that makes any difference.
