2012 Coolant question
First post here, trying to find an answer in the middle of a repair. I'll come back later for more a more formal introduction but at the moment, I just need to find an answer to what I hope is an easy question.
I am replacing the thermostat on my Jeep. It is the 2012 3.6 Engine and it calls for HOAT coolant. When I removed the thermostat, the coolant that came out was orange. I have purchased Preston 50/50 which is a "universal" coolant and states that it is HOAT compatible. Can I put this back to top off the coolant from what drained out during the swap or do I have the wrong stuff?

I'll have to figure out how to do that in my garage. Not sure if I have the tools. The Prestone coolant is universal and compatible with both according to the label. I feel like this is harder than it should be, lol.
