Default 2012 JKRU gas mileage

I've owned my 2012 JKRU for a couple months now and am just curious to know if I'm getting normal gas mileage. The readout on my dash says I'm getting 14.4 mpg. This hasn't changed since I drove the Jeep off the lot. I do have a 1.75" levelling kit and 1.5" wheel spacers but I hardly think these mods are making any difference to the mileage. I've only ever driven in the city or the freeway and don't ever pull anything. Should I be getting better mileage than this?

I think you will find that the MPG will vary wildly depending on mods, bumpers/armor, gearing, city vs hwy, tires, etc.

If it makes you feel any better, my 2DR was getting that from the factory but now I get between 15 & 17 in the city. this went up about 1+ MPG after the engine hit about 6K on the odo.

For reference, I have:
- 1.5 TF coil lift
- 34" tires
- 4:10
- hardtop
- heavy bumpers

Hope this helps.

Have you reset your mpg gauge? Attached is a chart on my manual trans 2012 JKU with 3.73 rear. I would expect the Rubican to be about 1 to 1.5 mpg less than mine.

Mine:
2013 Unlimited Rubicon
3.73
Auto
Hardtop
295/70/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers
Factory Rims
1.5" wheel spacers
2" coil spring lift
I do mostly city driving and average 14.6 mpg. I have a bumper and winch on the way so I'm certain it's going to go down a little.
And I used a Procal to adjust the speedometer.

'12 JKUR, stock with 4.10s.
I got 18mpg mixed city/highway until the first oil change. Now I get a solid 19 mpg mixed

I think you should be doing better.

With the stock 32" BFG's getting 15-16MPG...With the 35"s losing 1-2 MPG...
No biggie bigger badass tires worth it...Driving habits are also in play here

It needs to break in, I barely got 15mpg until i hit 6k miles. Now driving my Rubi with a leveling kit an stock 32" tires I get 18.5 mpg on the hwy at 70mph and 16.5 in town.

I got 21mpg(indicated) on 120 mile highway trip this weekend fully loaded with the hitch cargo carrier and at 15mph tailwind. In the way back I had a 15 mph head wind and got 19 mpg. I average about 70 mph.
