2012 Problems with new cylinder head
As quite a few people here have gotten there cylinder head replaced on there new 2012s have any of you had problems since. My problem is when my jeep has been parked for awhile and I go to turn it on all it does is crank and turn on or just stay shut off. It's been happening soon after they replaced my head. They told me it was a key module which they have replaced twice now and still I'm having the same problem. Is this happening to anyone else.

Not a recall, but a known issue. Usually the dealer will say they hear no ticking or the ticking is normal. They maybe then flash/reset the computer (not sure if its the proper term), send you on your way. The time when the dealer takes action is when the Jeep throws a code (engine misfire) and the CEL light comes on. When that happens the dealer acknowledges the tick and looks into replacing the head.

I first had the drivers side lifters replaced...ticking came back
Then had the cylinder head replaced on the drivers side....ticking came back
Then had the passenger side lifters replaced ......now my engine sounds awful like its a freaking diesel truck
I never had a CEL light come on and they never flashed the computer, it's all in how the dealership wants to treat your issue and how much b.s. you're willing to take from them.
