Montana driving is beautiful, but brutal. Couldn't imagine driving a JK across that state, given the infrequency of gas stations at some points.

haha, i do fine. my jeep gets 430 miles per tank. I have done this drive many times (i can drive it with my eyes closed) and always fill up in the same spots, used to drive it with a old grand cherokee that only got 330 miles per tank so i just stop more then needed with the wrangler. also know where to stop if im driving my cars that get closer to 250 per tank... there are bigger towns every 2 hours across i90 through montana so no one has anything to worry about. just gas up more often, dont push it to e, wyoming has less gas stations then the montana stretch.

Thanks for the pics. I was wondering whether or not this new engine had a cartridge style oil filter.
You can sure tell this engine was co-developed with Daimler, the oil filter looks just like the one in the Sprinter van. Same o ring setup too
