Default 2013 drain plugs

I recently got about 6 inches of water into my jeep and couldnt find a way to get to the drain plugs on my 2013 jk 2 door. It looks like I have to rip the carpet up to get to them and I dont think im ready to get rid of the carpet yet. Is there a way to get them out from the bottom? Is it bad to keep them out once I get them out?

And if you got that much water into the JK you probably wanna take the carpet out anyway to dry it...
