Now I'm really hooked. Can you tell me what the mileage is?
it was 65k when I purchased it had done about 2.5k in the 6 months since its last MOT and the seller had done a couple of drives from Manchester to the lakes in the weeks before apparently.

looking at vcheck it averaged 6k miles each year since 2020 but in 2019 did just 1500, I wonder if problems could have built up then?

not sure if I mentioned above but the mechanic said something about a previous mechanic not reconnecting a water supply properly I didn’t make a note of the exact terms he used unfortunately but I’ll ask him again when we next speak!

Default Update!

Tank dropped out by the garage and cleaned, new pump in the tank, engine now runs and doesn’t cut out.

still getting a fault from the new pressure sensor, fitted as part of a new fuel rail, some detective work with previous owners has told me it was remapped some time ago so the garage are planning to try to remove the map and restore to factory next week, fingers crossed after around 5k in unexpected expenditure we will be done!!

And now at the end I relaise you had a diesel. In England with all that moisture and humidity you should ensure you use diesel conditioner every 3 or 4 tanks or keep the tank full as often as you can. You should also install a good water separator system and clear that out every couple of months or so. Things that the factory should have done.

It took me a minute too. Until I saw the recommendation for the cam belt change while changing a fuel pump.

Default Another setback

Was hoping to collect a fixed Jeep today but no such luck.

After fitting the new tank pump the fuel pressure too high fault was still there putting into limp mode.

its been to a Celtic remap garage who took off the map and put it back to the original map that they had saved from the previous owner.

they have driven it and it’s still in limp mode max 40 mph!

back to the garage again then :-(
