2018 JK 2 door tailgate actuator
Hi,
I have a 2018 2 door JK and the tailgate actuator has failed. I finally got around to ordering the replacement that seemed to work. The problem is it will open and close the door when unlocked. If I lock the door and unlock the actuator works but using the handle does not open the door. If I disconnect the rod going to the door handle and push it down it works, it seems to move about the same as with the door handle. If I reconnect it but leave it unclipped so it is pushed out a few mm it also works. When I re-clip it no luck. It’s like the rod length or angle is slightly off but it is perplexing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
