Not sure. With these new A/C systems I'm not sure they're not like the old ones.

Pretty hard to change the core temperature of an engine, though it would be nice to have it run 20 deg cooler, might save a lot of drivers side heads. I'm just looking to shed more out from under the hood, could roast a chicken under there. That can't be good for all the other crap under the hood.

You can change the temp (on) settings for the engine fan with the superchips programmer

And get rid of any plastic covers over the intake manifold all they do is hold in heat. They are just there to make the engine look pretty....it's a engine I want to see it

I've been through all that with my 2008. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modi...trofit-235132/

I've removed the engine cover, the hood insulation, the front and rear hood gasket and that massive hunk of foam on the drivers side under the intake manifold.

Get one of the heat reduction hoods such as the AEV.

It can be programmed as stated above, or you can hotwire it to a switch so you can turn it on/off manually.

I was rock crawling in 90 degree heat and the fan in my 3.8 came on continuous. I haven't heard it in my 3.6 though. The day I went crawling was cold
