3.73 or 4.10 Axles
If you are ever going off road get the 4.10s shouldn't be a question. If its gonna be a road only vehicle (and why anyone would do that to a Rubi is beyond me) then the 3.73s are fine. I've got a 6 speed, never could stand automatics, but might like the new 5-speed. I'd still get the 4.10s even with the auto, 4-lo with that auto and 4.10s would be sweet in the rocks on the 32s (and up to 35s).
I have a 2012 JKU Auto with 3.73, and I was pissed after I drove it off the lot and found out Auto came with 3.73 when every other year Rubi had 4.10. Now, I like the gear with stock tires but when I go 35's, not so much. If you can choose, no brainer 4.10.
i have a 2013 jkur auto with the 3.73 and have been off road and on road with the auto. i am stock and will keep it stock and and have had no problems. the new engine and trans do a great job. it is so much better then my 2011 jku. i hope this helps. 6000 miles and no problems. i am a newbe and this is a great froum.
The final drive on the 5 speed auto with 3.73 axle is 3.09.
The final drive with the old 4 speed auto is 2.829.
So a new Rubi with 3.73 is geared lower than an old one with 4.10 and it has a lower first gear.
Just the facts man!

I have a a 2013 Rubi auto with the 3.73. I have off-roaded it and see no issues especially if, like me, you plan to keep it stock. My personal opinion is that many of the responses you are getting are from people with older models, manual transmissions, and those who lifted and added bigger tires or all of the above. Their concept of which ratio for you to buy does not apply to you. Even if you go off road a lot you are still spending 90% of the time on paved road. The 3.73 will get you a mile or two better milage, run lower rpms and be quieter. Plus it is cheaper as you have to pay extra for the 4.10.
I have a '12 COD Rubicon with 3.73's. at first I was disappointed but now after 11k miles I am not so sure it really matters. I think a lot of guys do not take in account the new motor and more importantly the gearing of the 5 speed auto. If you plan on going beyond 35's sure get the 4.10, if not then info not think it matters. I had a TJ with the 4.0 an 4.10 and my new Jeep would dust it on the road, runs quieter and is awesome offroad. At the end of the day for 90% of us I do not think with the new motor and tranny it is really much difference besides a topic that fills forums.
2012 and up autos have 3:73. I think they only did that to meet average mpg agenda. I have 4:10's with a manual six speed. I get 19.5 average mpg on stock 32".
I did 0 - 60 in 7.37 sec. Love the torque. Ha.
Get 4:10's and don't look back.
