6-speed Manual Transmission Fill/Drain plug tool kit
Getting ready to service my 6-spd transmission at 24K miles so I purchased a metric hex socket set from Harbor Freight, $12.99

I was able to use the 17mm on a long 1/2" drive extension and loosen the drain plug on my 2012, and the 14mm on the fill hole.

for the fill plug you can just use an allen key bit on your ratchet wrench as there is plenty of room.....for the drain plug i just went to the local hardware store and found a nut that fit in the plug and used an open end wrench on it.
I bought an Allen key that fits on a 1/2" drive socket from Harbor Freight. It got perfectly with no need to modify anything. Yes the exhaust was close, maybe even touching the ratchet extension but it worked perfectly. So before you go thought the trouble to modify a tool, you may just want to check first whether a standard existing tool would work.
