Ya every time mine has to go to the stop its the dealership that provides the rental. Being in that situation sucks, but at the end of the day sounds like your dealership sucks more.

I have good news on the situation as FCA Customer Care has reached out and has agreed to reimburse most of my rental costs and agreed that the backorder lead times are excessive. Its unfortunate that it takes so much griping to get a result but I'm glad they are doing this for me and I feel a bit better about the brand again.

My wife's 2019 GMC Acadia was recently rear-ended. The guy who hit her had insurance, and they covered the cost of her rental. We did have one problem though, the car was at the body shop for just over 6 weeks because of a lack of availability of parts. We are friends with the owner of the body shop, and he explained that GM does not stockpile parts for current production vehicles like they used to, and only sends out "batches" of parts to suppliers when enough are needed. He said they even had to wait 3 weeks for a new wheel for someones 2019 Terrain! Crazy times we are spending our hard earned money in!

Just went through this also. I always got a loaner but dealer told me Chrysler is no longer reimbursing them for lifetime power train rental car warranty work past 100k. I was getting transmission work done also. Got a rental through my car insurance. Much cheaper.

Finding another dealer can help too but they all suck.

The Warranty booklet spells it out in the What Is Not Covered section. Loss of time, inconvenience, rental vehicles, with no stipulations on parts availability. (Poor planning on their part possibly, but likely beyond their control.) The Lifetime Warranty section goes on to state that towing is not covered after the initial warranty expires. So yeah, I agree with everyone else. If you find a dealership that will let you have a free rental, great!! But you'll have to cause a whole lot bigger of a ruckus for corporate to offer a rental just to shut you up.

The one thing from the warranty booklet you might look into is:
You may also have other rights that vary from state to state. For example, you may have some implied warranties, depending on the state where your vehicle was sold or is registered.
