I'd ask for my deposit back for sure. If they weren't up front about something major like that who knows what else they didn't tell you?

You can buy a new Unlimited sport for not much more at all. I'd avoid that one like the plague.

I would be sure to get a print out of all the warranty work done and see what was replaced / repaired.. Even if they offer an extended Warranty, unless you plan on staying stock for the lifetime of your jeep, you may end up voiding it and being stuck with potential issues.

It may be better to just spend a little extra and get something new along with peace of mind..

Yeah, I agree with what evereyone else here is saying, which is basically:

*It's a 2 year old lemon-lawed vehicle
*The dealer initially hid the above from you and had a completely different explanation for the low miles until they had your deposit and were then required by law to tell you the truth, so this particular dealer is completely dishonest
*For just a few thousand dollars more you get a brand new Wrangler with the updated interior and all the new features (ie steering wheel controls, etc)
*With a new vehicle, you'd have the piece of mind to know that the electrical system hasn't been pulled apart and cut, hacked and spliced togeher in order to correct the stalling problem of the lemon vehicle (you can be sure that the dealers and then Chrysler mechanics did a trial and error replacement of many different components and systems; if it was that simple to diagnose and replace the remote start the dealer would have done it in the first place and the problem wouldn't have persisted to the point that Chrysler was forced into buy-back
*If the price was $16K or $17K I'd say go for it, but do not pay virtually the brand new vehicle price for a second hand, lemon lawed, 2 year old vehicle. Do without the painted bumpers of the Sahara & just get a brand new '11 X for a few grand more.

Default run, run, run

that's a morter storm headed str8 for you. get your deposit and don't F around. let them know you intend on notifying your local consumer agencies if they are not str8 up from now on. you might throw a quick punch to the nose for bringing bad karma around something you will love, perhaps more than anything else. I'd hit a guy for my wife, I'd kill em for my country, but it would be more like the next saw movie for my Jeep.

this is my jeep, there are many like it, but this one is mine...

I know....phsycho, that's what they keep telling me.

I almost bought a buy back... 2008 rubi... No warrantee with 30k on it... They will not warrantee buy backs... They said the roof leaked and could not fix it so they bought it back... BULL... They wanted 26k and would not budge.... 2008 had a bunch of issues, ball joints, trans heat issues, leaky roofs etc... I got a 2010 in June ( before the 2011came out) it's a jku sport with hard top and power windows, no nav sticker was $28,400 I got it with no trade in for $24k.... Full warrantee 5year 100k... And it was brand new 6 miles....

Bottom line you can do better with a new jeep... Lower interest rate on new cars also... Plus with the 2011s out they want all the 2010s off the lot asap!!! Good luck with you decision... ( go new or atleast to another dealership)

The likelihood is you'll have a few other things go wrong with this one and will need the support of the garage you bought it off. If they have already been dishonest before you've even taken delivery it's not going to get better when they've been paid in full. A dud car linked with a dud dealer can be a real nightmare and make your life hell. I think by going ahead with this one you'd be risking more than just repeat faults. Buy the seller. In this case the seller doesn't seem worth the potential hassle.

Default Do not buy

Dude, you do not want that future headache.
That is way too much $$ for a used Sahara.

I got my 07 used last year with 24k miles fully loaded for $18k with factory warranty...

The name of the dealership isn't Obama Jeep is it? Since you show being from Chicago, I thought there might be a good chance that weasel was involved!

The interest rate comment isn't always true. Check with banks because I have 3.7% on my used Jeep. Listen for the squeaky throw out bearing because I sure didn't until the week after I bought it and now it drives me insane.
