Air pressure for OE rubi tires
Sorry if this is a repeat. I am putting OE rubi tires on my X. What is the recommended psi for the rubi for street use.
Much thanks

Mine came from the factory at 37 psi and thats what it says on the door frame sticker. I have heard from others that 32 is better, but 37 for mine feels just fine.

Draw a thick line on the tread of all four tires (across the tread from edge to edge) and then drive it a little (sometimes just a few revolutions) and then look at the chalk. If it has worn away in the center but not the edges, you are over-inflated. If it has worn at the edges more than the center, you are under-inflated. Even wear means your pressure is good. Odd wear may also signal an alignment issue. You can also do this by driving through some water and looking at the tread pattern on a dry surface, but IMO the chalk is a bit more reliable. It's just a good quick reference, you don't want to find out you're over-inflated after your tread has noticeably worn in the center of your tires.

I'm currently running 26 fr and 28 Rr with a 2.5 RC BB. The ride is excellent. Right now the vehicule is empty but as soon as some heavy items are added the pressure will go up slightly.
The pressure on the side of the door is for maximum vehicule load. I like to run always on the lower end of the scale as I get tremendous distance out of my tires with very even tread wear.
If you never check your pressures then put it to 37 and leave it at that. But if you check them on a regular basis you can play around with a lot lower ones.
