Default airbag light question

I just got a 4 door JK without an interior.. (Long story)
Anyway, the airbag light is lit, but I know for a fact that they did not deploy.
I also know that this jeep does not have airbag seats option.
The question is; if the seats are not plugged into the harness, will this keep the airbag light on?
Ideas?
Thanks, Ricky

Hi Ricky! If you have a theft recovery and if either bag was unplugged for removal and then plugged back in, a code will be set and it will have to be reset with a scan tool. An OBDII tool won't do it, dealership time. Also check fuse #M 16 in your underhood power distribution box for the Occupant Restraint Controller, a red 10 amp.....

Thanks for the info..
I will check that fuse out.
The ESB light is also on. I know the front is out of wack, so I figure that is the cause.
Thanks again,
Ricky
