Alignment out after steering stabilizer replacement
I just replaced stock rubicon shocks and steering stabilizer with Rancho mono tubes and now it feels like it pulls and won’t return to center after a turn. Unfortunately I chucked the old stabilizer. Is an alignment required after replacement? Should I have adjusted the stabilizer? I just removed the old and put the new in its place- no idea if they were they same length.
appreciate any info

Does it pull in only one direction? Will it not return to center from only one direction?
Take the stabilizer off and see if the problem goes away.

is that Rancho SS a gas charged unit? I'm not certain if it is or isn't. If it is, that is not really an application you want a gas charged item as they are constantly applying a lot of force trying to expand. You really just want the most basic SS if you're going to use one. Something that has equal force when compressing and expanding. Is it pulling drivers side?....as in the SS is pushing your tie rod and therefore your wheels left?
If not factory, something more like the Teraflex VSS9550 is a cheap alternative.

Good questions. It only pushes to the left and will not return to center after a left hand turn. Seems ok for a right turn.
ill take it off and test. It solves the issue should I readjust the steering stabilizer mount? Or just chuck it and go back to a stock?

Go back to stock.
pushing left and fine when making a right turn makes total sense for a gas charged SS. think about it....when you're turning right, it's naturally trying to push everything back to the left....when turning left it doesn't want to return to center cuz it's STILL trying to stay extended to the left.
take it off and i bet you see the difference. either 1) leave it off, 2) go back to factory, or 3) replace with another cheap unit that is not gas charged.

Thanks for the advice. I removed the new ss and things felt better. Then I rummaged through the dumpster and found my old one.
The Rancho my 7000 is stiffer and probably more for large tires. I only have 33”.

For what it's worth, no reason for a 'fancy' SS. The OEM versions that you can purchase for like $30 from any auto parts store is sufficient if you decide to run one. Many folks don't run a stabilizer at all.
