Default Another soft top question

I know this has been discussed, but couldnt find the thread.

Is it recommended you remove the rear window of the soft top when you have the front section of the top pulled back?

I thought I read somewhere that a saleman told a new buyer that you could not ride with the sunrider open unless the back window was removed or rolled up.

However, I have been riding with mine both ways and have not had anything bad happen.

Thanks man!!

I would assume with the back windows down, air could escape out that way without blowing on that back window too much.

x2 up to 80 on the interstate and no problems. Just make sure the top in properly sunridered.

altho i've done this w/no problems, i would recommend at least unzipping the rear window some to give the air an escape route. sunrider open + rear window closed = crazy drag coefficient. not that our JK's are aerodynamically optimal to begin with, but a brick w/a parachute on it's azz has got to produce waaaaaay more drag than just, well, a brick!

Totally agree here. The drag is a major factor. Also, you want to let all that highway traffic exhaust blow right out the back. No point in having it trapped inside with you. Besides, it takes less than a minute to just unzip and let it hang down inside the rear glove box, I mean trunk.

Ok so i just opened up the sunrider. I think i have it right. The header latches will be facing the sky correct?

also, does the fabric hang down a little over the back seat?

The Latches do face up but none should be hanging down into the compartment. Whis I had a picture handy.

Not sure if I can explain it, The 1st fold that starts were the rear of the top starts need to be folded back over the rear. Not sure if this makes since sorry.

Edit: BTW do you have a 2dr or 4dr?

I have a 4 door.

And when i say some hangs down, i just mean it sags a little bit. Its not like its actually touching the back seat.
