i've got the 6spd, 3.21's,32"tires and (with the ESP off) i can spin both back tires like crazy in first -- guys at work thinks its crazy because their big chevy's can only spin one LOL -- i do have the Trac-Loc --- i think Jeep really screwed up with the autos, its sounds like from reading on here that the gearing in the autos is horrible compared to the 6 --- no video of this yet but i'll have to see what i can do, its been raining here for a month i think and more on the way so wet streets are not too impressive -- just muddin' like crazy, mud everywhere!!!!!

I power braked mine in my driveway once and it left a couple of feet of black marks. Today, when the road was wet, it spun enough to display the amber skid marks on the instrument panel.

I read this thread and decided to do a test. I went out to the driveway squirted some dish soap under the tires and threw it in low. The tires feel like something is happening, I look out the mirror and it looks like a bubble machine was turned on. The tires were not moving but the exhaust was blowing soap for sure!

I guess I need to put a nitris bottle in?

LOL, that sucks for you guys. I have a 4 door rubicon, 6 speed. I also have done the ESP mod. If i really wanted to, i could do donuts in the parking lot. But i can definitely burn them all the way through 1st and then bark em in 2nd...you just have to tac it up a little bit

The first gear on the auto is comparable to 2nd on the manual.

First gear ratio manual: 4.46 second: 2.61
First gear ratio automatic: 2.84

The overdrive on manual is 0.84, while on the auto it is 0.69. Which would explain the even greater need to downshift the auto on a hilly road.

Yeah i really think this engine is quite good. The reving is a bit lame and you got to get used to it but the motor is very powerful, especially with the manual tran.
