Anyone else have a ticking/nocking sound at startup?

The oil level is fine and I have no clue as to what it could be.
Hi, Have you ever read about synthetic oil, because it's molecular (?) structure a film stays on the moving parts when it sits. Check out Amsoil, it's real slippery.

It's been 3000 km since changed.

Where does it go?
If you don't see it leaking out (drip on the driveway) then you're probably sending out the tail pipe.

Any bluish smoke coming out the back?

A cheap and easy first approach is to check (replace) your PCV valve. It's not a cure fore everyone but a stuck-open PCV valve can let a lot of oil get by.

Had this problem too, for the first 15K, and switched to mobil one and still had this problem. Then switched to mobil one oil filters and never had the tick, rattle or any cold startup noise again! You must run a good oil filter, and it schould cure this problem.

I had this bug as well. Changed the oil filter, oil light hasn't come back and no ticks. I'm just over 60k miles 07 JKU.

Use the search function on this forum...."oil sucking 3.8" tons of info there. 2 liters in 2 weeks sounds like too much to me. Start a oil consumption test with your dealer...hope u still have power train warranty. Best if luck

Mine had actually never done that before but now does it since they replaced the drivers side head...
