Hello all, Im new to this forum and this is my 3rd Jeep wrangler... 2012 JKU Rubicon with all the bells and whistles. DOES your 2012's a/c light come on when it wasn't on when parked.. Im doing a survey let me know the results (Picture with the a/c light off is parked).. (picture 2 with the light on is later after remote start).. same settings but that little orange light comes on when i get in.. and does not go off automatically, EVERY DAMN TIME I HAVE TO TURN IT OFF!.. in either of the duct settings (not auto ), in any and all temp settings and in all fan speed settings. Can every one set there jeeps to those settings... park it and remote start, open the door and let us know what happens!!

Yes mine also does the same, I started the other thread! But a survey was a good idea... Went to the dealer today! No Success! They still say this is normal even though another 2012 on the lot with identical options does not have this issue! Come on Chrysler!! Let's come up with a fix! This cool the box reason is ridiculous!!

My 2012 rubi does this as well but not every time.

Just for everyone's information.. The A/C will not kick on when the outside temp is below 50... For those of you in colder states! This will become an issue even more when winter ends! Guys if your having this issue, make sure you let your dealer or chrysler know. No matter what,this is by no means a " normal " occurrence! Come on man!!! It's normal for the a/c to come on with remote start only? Even when it wasn't on? Right??? No way

Remote start? Auto temp control? When happened to the good old Jeep? You know, the ones with just power windows and cruise control??

Chrysler rep told me a fix is in the works
Several other models are experiencing the same symptoms

Mine does the same. I will try to take it to the dealer tomorrow and see what they say.

just picked up my 12 arctic saturday. factory remote start. standard hvac pkg. i am going to check this out in a min. i'll post up the results........


turned the fan on high.
floor/defrost mix.
made sure the ac was off.
remote started.
unlocked with fob.
entered the jeep. the ac light WAS NOT ON.
