auto start and rear defrost light situation
I have 2012 Sahara Unlimited with factory auto start integrated into the key fob.
Can someone explain to me why my rear defrost light keeps coming on when I use my keyfob's autostart function? I have made a point of having it off, when I have locked up the vehicle. (i.e., was not left in the on position)
Is the defrost connected somehow to the outside temp?
In trying to problem solve the situation, I've tried auto-starting the Jeep when the fan/heat has been off entirely, and still the rear defrost light shows up.
Before I take the Jeep in to be looked at, I was wondering if this is just something unique to my Jeep or to any others with the Autostart.
Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

I don't have that problem with my softtop.

Ok. Not to hijack but on a similar note, does anyone else have a heater fan that goes full blast when using the auto start regardless of outside temp? Mine even did it with doors off in the summer...
