Default axle/differential seal replacement

this morning i went to change the rear diff gear oil and found it low. after further inspection i found it leaked out the axle at the rear right brake. i can not be the first and certainly wont be the last to need to replace the seals so does anyone have a replacement seal that is better than the oem? id rather not replace this every oil change i have the rubicon so the dana 44 with the tru locks

Still have the warranty?

The seal may have failed for several reasons.
One possibility is a slightly bent axle shaft. Have you checked the flange for run-out?
I don't know of a seal that is better than what came from the factory. They are all pretty much standard design.

Let the dealer look at it while the fix is free.

Yup been there done that, driver rear started to leak at that point in time original seal with 70,000 KM on the clock.

Thankfully I was still under warranty, dealer fix no issues with OEM replacement....40,000 + KMS since, no issues.

It's a pretty common problem unfortunately.

i have 38k miles with no extended coverage. are these covered under the drive train part?

Yes. 5 Years/100,000 miles.
