My X 2-door with 32" tires has the 3.21, and my friend's Rubicon 2-door with 32" tires has 4.10.....I've driven both, on-road and off-road, and I can't really tell much difference. 1st gear is the only difference to me, and it's still not a HUGE difference...maybe with larger tires I'm sure it would be an issue, but for stock it's about the same to me. One main difference is the RPM's on the hwy, mine stays at about 2000rpm at 70mph...his is closer to 3000rpm at 70mph and sounds like it needs to shift UP another gear.

I have the 2 door '07 Sahara with the 3.21 gears and a 6 speed...I don't do much offroading but I will say that 5th and 6th gears are useless....My mileage is terrible as well (about 12 mpg)...I'm putting 4.88s in this week and will upgrade to 35's ...I know I'll like the looks of the bigger tires and I'm hoping that my 4 speed really becomes a 6 speed.
