Default Back seat foldup 2 door

So I've flipped the seat up several times but doesn anyone know if it locks in the folded up position? It just kindof rocks back and forth when your driving, seems like it should look but I can't get mine too.

Anyone know of a way to lock it or does it just not lock when up... locks fine when down in the normal seat position though.

Thx

Nope, no lock there. Another bad design. Bungee cord to the front seat is the only way I could get it to stay!

I remember seeing a company that made a little metal gizmo for "locking" the seat in the full folded up position. I can't recall the company off hand.

Did the same. I have really long legs and like to sit as far back as I can, The constant bang on my seat when stopping hard drove me nuts.

if you buy the Bestop rear cover it comes with a strap to hold the seat down while folded, you could use a strap from walmart, i can post a pic if you want, just pm me if you want a pic of the strap

I think the metal gadget you're thinking of is the seat keeper. I wish they made one for our model. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I took mine out. I had found an old air double bed sized mattress somebody didn't want anymore and use it as a cover for the seat, while it languishes out in the barn.
