The best tire would be one you could stud or tire chains. I have not seen a tire that is good on ice. Best thing fo driving on ice is to stay home. The issue is not going but stopping

Yes, you'll want a dedicated ice tire that can studded if you plan on being on ice for a while. I have no personal recommendations but it seems the Blizzak tires get decent reviews.

Slow moving ones!
Studs or chains. If that isn't an option, consider the new stud-less snow tires.
I've always ran a set of BFG KM2's with full-face siping, year-round, and find that to be ideal for a 4-season region that gets quite a bit of serious winter on the mountain passes especially. But when it comes to ICE, as mentioned earlier, only studs or chains will provide the control you need. But yeah- best bet is to stay home! Even if you had tank tracks on, it's all the other people sliding around that will get ya.

I ran Blizzacks every winter when I lived in minnesota and they were awesome. That was 15 years ago and I would guess with the evolution of tires they are probably even better now.

I have a couple friends that plow and they won't run anything besides BFG K/O's.
I noticed you're in GA though, when you guys get ice that far south stay home is the best advice lol

Yes, but I like being the only one that can/will got out in bad weather :-)
I like the look of the KO2s. They seem much more versatile than the KMs that came on my Rubicon.
