Default Bestop bikini question

I'm stumped on this one guys. I can not get the rails to stay on the door surround. What am I doing wrong?!?

Am I just over thinking it?

What year is your JK? The Bestop Bikini should have hard plastic clips on the sides that should clip on and latch onto the door surround rail. It's hard to get on if you put it on when the weather's cold - but if you let the top sit out in the sun for a while, it'll go on a lot easier.

2010. I've got the little rails on the top, you just can't see them cause they are folded up. I can't pull them Under the surround, it's really freaking tight haha

I just did this a couple weeks ago and is it ever tight! Even when it sat in the sun all day it was still really tough to get all of it under the surrounds. Your no dummy, its just that tight. It took me and my husband.

when the tops are new they are super tight. you will need more than one person pulling on them to get it to fit. once you get it on leave it on for a week and it will stretch and get easier. i also had to trim the platic tabs a little to fit on my door surrounds.

I still can not get the rails into the door surround! Can someone take a close up shot of theirs so I know what to look for?

I don't have mine on right now. I have an 08 and I had to cut the plastic. I was able to get it on last year with a bottle opener, the kind that has a large flat top. I put one side in first and then bottle open the other side in. Just be careful as it can tare the bikini. Mine is still not stretched out enough, got it at the end of the summer months and now we have a rainy summer.

Mine was a B with an itch the first time I stuggled hard to get the plastic tabs clipped into the door surrounds. I solved it by throwing out the top into the baking sun light for an hour to get nice and warm and easier to stretch out. If I got a stubborn tab, I got my wife's hair dryer to soften up the plastic and got the top to stretch easier to clip in.
