Default Boot for Soft Top Question

Hey All,
I have a 2013 2 door w the freedom top. I'm wondering if the boot cover for the soft top would work as a cover for things stowed behind the rear seat when the top is removed? Since I don't have the soft top, I'm just looking for a privacy cover. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thx!

PS, I'm still learning to navigate this website so my apologies if this post is on the wrong forum page. Thx!

You would need a tail gate bar. And, if you don't have a soft top to stuff into it I don't think it would be very secure. I have one and it works very well with a soft top, but I don't think it will do what I think you are thinking it will do.

Yes, it'll serve as a simple alternative to hide things behind your rear seat. I've been doing this years. It's the main reason I put the rear seat back in for daily driving. The boot holds the soft top down well.

The only caveat is that the rear seat can still be put down, exposing the rear area.

Opps, misread the question. Works well with the SOFTOP down, not sure how it'll fit with the hard top removed and no softop to cover. It's a complete cover, it encircles/wraps the top and zippers on the front side. Ptarnuzzer is correct. It won't be a tight fit without anything inside. Think of a bean bag, without the filler.

A Bestop Instatrunk, would serve you better

Thank you. I was thinking that it may have been too simple to work in that way. I'm not as concerned about security, just keeping things out of sight. It looks like the best option may be the tuffy rear deck deck security cover. Thank you for replying!
