Default Brake calipers

I'm putting back the rear brake calipers and they don't quite slide on the rotor. Is there any trick I can use to make them slide, or do I have to remove that upper bolt with the rubber boot, open it up, remove pads and then push the piston back? I'm probably within a thou of an inch.

Use a brake spreader or a "c" clamp. I always use the "C" clamp. Pull pads and push the cylinder in.

I was trying to avoid opening up the caliper adapter, but I guess I have no choice. There isn't enough room between the pads to pull them out without opening up the caliper.

Prolly took longer to post this than removing the caliper. Lol. I changed all four rotors and pads plus painted them black in four hours on my liberty.
