Brake Pads Changes - Still squealing!
So, I changed out my brake pads (rear) on my 'project' (see my welcome post!), but..... they're still squealing like a stuck pig.
Any ideas why?
New Pads are Wagnar ThermoQuiet's, based on recommendations found here and other forums.

Did you replace the hardware and grease the slide pins as well?

aahh... replaced the clips, but didn’t grease slide pins (I’m no mechanic, and the write up I followed didn’t have that step.
will do this over the weekend, but would that cause squeal while brakes engaged?

The squeak while engaged is more likely a bent flange (rear) or rotors that aren't true. It's possible to get noise if the caliper isn't returning properly but it sounds like that's not your issue.

I have found it necessary to slobber this all over the back of the pads, and on the clips.

Cheers, guys!
long weekend here on the rock, so time to get back in there, and check everything over again.
will try to make it to the auto parts place today (there’s only one on the entire island of worth) and see if I can find the brake quiet - might not be an option though.
