Default Brakes- Lifetime powertrain warranty

Hey all,

It's time to replace the rear Pads and rotors. Because they are a part that effects the drivetrain, would aftermarket breaks effect the lifetime powertrain warranty?

Thanks in advance!

X2. Whatever you do, don't buy lifetime warranty pads. They are very hard and will eat your new rotors up.

OP isn't asking if they're covered by the LPW. Wants to know if non OEM brake parts will affect the power train warranty.

The answer is no.

I bought the Lifteime Pads at Autozone .. they don't last any longer than OEM pads. I've already had the front and back pads replaced for Free under warranty after they wore.

Thanks everybody!

Yeah, NCB understood my question on whether none OEM rotors and breaks would effect the powertrain warranty.

Thanks again!
