Diamond-Fusion Mud test

The big company: Just search Google for diamond fusion.

I put this on my (new) window shield (free) when I had to buy one almost a year ago from the company doing the test (local to Phoenix), and so far so good!

It did have a slight chem smell for a week or so, but keeping the windows down in the garage helped.

I'm sure you can find company's all over that have this product, if not come to AZ!

Anyway I love it! May end up being the best idea for jeep windshields!

This sounds like a great idea, until you find dissenters,...

Especially regarding the warranty. Have you had to challenge this with your local Diamond Fusion dealer?

It tell the truth, I live in Phoenix, we get rain once a year, so lots of rocks, gravel, etc. on the roads.

The main reason I got it for was to decrease the chance of chipped/cracked windshields. This is my 4th Jeep, and I have been though my share of windshields .

So far I have been hit by some pretty smacks and no chips yet!

I asked them when my Jeep was about 4 months old and they said it would cost (I think it was around $200) if I wanted it applied because they have to take the shield out and clean it/soak it, etc. I said I'd just wait and it only took about 9 more months to go bang, I had 2 chips (both plugged) in that time then it developed a major crack!

Oh and the coating was free with a new windshield, so no cost, no pressure. I think my windshield came out to $427 with the 2-3 inch tint at the top. Since I wanted the coating it took 2 extra days I believe.

I don't recommend anyone go out an pay for it, but If you have to replace a windshield, and it's free like here... well that's up to you.

Not saying that to boast, because I wish they would. Instead, all the little gravel and sand has created so many (very) little chips in it that it looks like glitter. I just pray for the big one to hit it right to fully justify the replacement.

Justification, three words: Ball peen hammer.

Tempted, but would have to pay the replacement cost. Too many other things to pay for at this time (stuck with a house payment and rent).

My point on in my post, which I guess I left out is that the GM engineers found the perfect deflecting angle for the windshield that it seems to defy cracking. Bastards. I really just would rather have it burst into flames.
