Default Can I park the jeep while in 4HI?

I did attempt to search for this but didn't see anything. We got about 1.5 ft of snow here last night and when I arrived at work this morning, I forgot to take it out of 4HI, is this an issue? Trying to determine if I should go out and dis-engage it.

Thanks-

It's not an issue, you're in park or in gear with the e-brake on. I wouldn't do it as a steady diet only because you do not want to be in 4wd on dry or wet roads. That will cause damage.

Thanks for the replies. We are supposed to get another 7-10 inches so I will be needing it when I leave today, I just didn't know if it put any undue stress on anything having it parked that way.

After I posted I thought I might get several people asking how I could be in Arizona and be getting that much snow. Here in Flagstaff at 7000 ' we get an average of 110 inches a season.

Thanks again!

I drove thru Flagstaff once during my cross country trip and it was the worst snow storm I've ever experienced... the snow flakes were huge ... I'm just glad I made it thru with my front wheel drive car at the time

Northern AZ gets snow all the time. Occasionally even Southern AZ does. In fact, there was a blizzard warning down near the Mexico border yesterday. It was over 30 yrs ago the last time that happened, but it does happen.

Yup, no worries at all. There have been times during the course of the winter I've been in 4HI for a week or more. Snow covered back roads, and driving on the ice out to fish shack you need it. Trumps driving on a highway any day of the week
