In my other vehicle, everything is automated. Like the Jeep, when you get to a certain speed, the locks lock. In my other vehicle, when you turn off the engine, the locks will automatically unlock. Being that the Jeep does lock them, and all this fly-by-wire stuff, there must be a way to program the Jeep to do the unlocking also. I am tired of getting out to open the rear, or let my kid out of the back seat and forgetting to unlock the doors. I assume that in time it may become habit, but I'm stubborn.

There is a feature where the doors lock at 15MPH and all unlock when the driver door opens. It is programmed using the key.
The details may be in the owners manual or check this thread and others like it.

An aftermarket alarm can do this too... such that when you turn the car off, it will unlock everything etc.

Just had my remote start alarm installed and it was quite interesting... many of the functions that tell the computer what to do (unlock, lock, start, etc.) are done through one wire... just a different resistor sending the appropriate ohms to the computer through the same wire.

Yea, since then I've:

left the auto locks on (4yr old in the back)
enable unlocking all doors when i open my door
disable extremely loud seat belt chime
remove warning stickers (did that one today, check out the what I did this wk)
all doors unlock with the pressing of the unlock button on keyfob just once
still haven't decided on the horn when locking doors/setting alarm, where I live it may be helpful

Oops, try this to stop the locks from locking at 15mph:

1. Open the driver door, sit in the driver seat, and close the driver door.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position (without starting the vehicle) and then back to OFF. Repeat this step three additional times (for a total of four key ON/OFF cycles).
3. Within 10 seconds of switching the ignition switch to the OFF position for the last time (at the end of the fourth cycle in the above step), press the driver interior door lock switch to LOCK.
4. A single chime will be heard to verify that the customer programmable toggle of the rolling door locks was successfully completed.
Steps 2 and 3 must be completed within 10 seconds.
NOTE: When toggling the rolling door locks (customer programmable), the toggle that happens will be from the last state of the rolling door locks. If the rolling door locks were enabled, after the toggle process, they will now be disabled and vice versa. There is no telltale to inform you of which state the rolling door locks are in.
