Default It CAN'T be this easy......

I've had my 2011 Unlimited in the shop 5x for water leaks, 4x for a rattle in the exaust and 3x for steering clunk. Jeep forwarded my claim to the Lemon department today and said a specialist will call me tomorrow. Is it really that easy to get it declared a Lemon??? I'm sure there has to be some hoops somewhere they are going to make me jump through. Anyone on the boards have any Lemon experince in Ohio?
I'd actually be very happy if they would just fix my current Jeep since they dont have Detonator Yellow for 2012.....

Sorry I dont have an answer to your question but all the things you mentioned are very common with the JK and they are all pretty easy fixes with walk throughs right here on the forum. I know what part of your exhaust is vibrating right now and can fix steering clunk in 10 mins max in my driveway. I don't see your jeep as a lemon. Mine and just about every other person driving a Jk has had these probs.

I've seen the fixes, and if Jeep doesnt take care of the problems and it goes out of warranty, then I'll have someone with some mechanical talent use the info. I just dont think I should have to tell Jeep how to fix their stuff after I paid them $30k. Ive been wondering all weekend why they dont have people trolling boards like this to see what Jeep owners have learned in regards to fixing known issues. Part of me feels a little guilty for persuing the Lemon Law, but it goes back to me paying for a product and expecting it to perform properly.

Then why dont they use some of the fixes, like lubing the steering joint and various fixes for the leaks and the weld for the exaust?

Default Lemon law

I had a 97 camaro ss that was a "lemon" in mississippi. It stayed in the shop for 3 weeks straight. The dealer called me and told me they were going to take it back as a lemon and i got a 97 camaro ss the next week.....

Btw.... Where is it leaking at?

It was leaking in the center by the rear view mirror, they kept tightening things, moving the weather stripping a bit, little things like that. Finally after I called Jeep they replaced the windshield header (?). I think that's what they did anyway. Regardless, it's still leaking and now it's leaking over on the passenger side by the back of the front panel, which makes no sense at all!

Usually, to get the vehicle refunded or replaced YOU have to prove your complaints affect the vehicles Safety or Value.

I think they have to agree there was a problem. How many times did they tell you " we could not get the jeep to recreate the noise or leak" you might be better off asking about a "buy back"
