Unlocked the passenger door on my 07 Unlimited with the key, and when I removed the key the lock came with it. Slid right out of the door. Anyone with experience in this area? Going to call the dealer today as it's still under warranty.

I am not much help, but since you mention it I don't think I have EVER stuck my keys into my door lock yet. The only heyhole mine has seen is the ignition. Weird....even weirder cause it's a Jeep and not like a BMW or something. Sorry...no help at all......

I think it's the one between the front fenders and the tire carrier... but I'm not entirely sure.

Seriously, that's weird though. Now I'm worried mine my fall out. Oh well, probably have to make a dealer trip today anyways.

Although I never lock the doors. I do leave my Jeep at the airport where I do lock the doors out of habit. It sure is hard to get into a half door jeep without using the keys. I guess some people here reaaaallly like those power doors on their "Jeep" Funny part is with the stupid power locks if you stick the key in it to unlock when it has been locked with the fob the alarm goes off. I'd love to hear the logic behind that. I don't miss my power issues in the slightest. I mean locks.

My question is did your door unlock? My doors wont unlock using the manual key method. Can only unlock with the fob!
