Please help....Oh, and pics would be great too if you already have them installed. I really need some tie downs back there. I now know to get the D-rings, just need to know where and how to put them in. Thanks.
I just slid the d-ring base onto the mount (or cargo-slot) that was already there. The d-ring's base is actually 2 halves, so I slid one under the metal slot and one over. Then I installed a bolt through the hole. Mine are very strong anchor-points...

Default Rear cargo tie downs D ring Mod.. Pic's..!!

Ok Guys.. Installed the rear D rings today.. A little more complicated that I thought..

1) Removed the jack and lug wrench.. (Isn't that kind of useless with anything over 32" tires??)

2) felt around in the jack area etc. to discover there are plastic shields glued in blocking the area you need to access.

3) under the Jeep cut off the plastic plug stops to free up the insert you must remove to get to the attachment area.. (pic # 1)

4)Remove the plastic inserts , I used a long handles chisel to cut the plastic foam/glue all the way around the insert and pull out.. ( pic #2)

5)The area you must get to corresponds with the rear frame mount bolts and bracket.. (see pic # 3)

6) Several sizes of fender washers could be used, I opted for the larger ones..(pic # 4)

7) used the center punch to dimple the drill point and drilled the holes barley larger then my screw/bolt.. (pic # 5)

8) vacuum out any metal shavings.. (don't want any little pieces of rust later)

9)Take your nylock and tape it to the fender washer. (so it will stay in place)
Insert it into the space and tighten her down !!

10) If you wish you can push the plastic inserts back in where they were..(maybe some air/water flow thing going on under the frame, or possible water intrusion into the jack space if left out..)

11) Once you are satisfied with all that, cut your carpet in the back to correspond with the D ring.. and you all done..!! (pic # 6)

The last few pictures are tools used and finished product shots.. Enjoy....

Install time is about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.. Longest time was removing the plastic inserts...
