hey i'm trying to remove my center console so i can get to my 4wd shifter (got to fix the inkage) and i can figure out how to do it, any help will help me a great deal

 

should just be a few bolts around the bottom of it. probably need to remove the shift boot as well.

I have tried this as well with no luck. I can get the shift boot off and the shift knob but not the 4wd shift knob. I had to run my wiring under the console for my lights with out taking the console completely off. PAIN!!! Any thoughts on how to get the 4wd shifter off short of taking a BFH and a Crecent wrench to it?? I have read a couple of posts about this but it seems some 4wd shifters come off easy and others don't.

 

Pull straight up. Hard. Make sure your face isn't in the way when it comes off. It works best if you put it in 4Lo first.
