When you order the "shifter-auto-transmission, be sure you order one for a 2011 and NOT 2012 as they are not the same because of the Mercedes transmission being used in 2012 and having "slapstick" capability to shift gears and the plug-in is different(Don't ask me how I know, but I will tell you I have a 2012 A/T shifter in my cabinet, lol)

2) need a emergency brake handle for a 2011 or 2012, they are the same,

3) You'll have to order the shift knobs separately. I chose to go with the chrome ones like on the Sahara

Everything bolts right up and for the front of the console where the 2011/12 have the 110v plug-in, I chose to go with the blank piece.
Good call,...I hope that part number does the trick?

A few other things I noticed..

4) If you have the 4-door, you will have to re-use the jumper harness that connects to the rear window switches. When I did my install Mopar had no idea what the part number was for the 2011 harness. The conector to the switches is the exact same.

5) When purchasing the main console base, all rubber pads in cup holders and storage areas come pre-installed... no need to purchase separately.

6) The padded armrest does not ship with a lock cylinder or the screws to attach. I ordered a replacement lock cylinder for the glove box and it fit perfectly. The only draw-back is that is seems to be an al plastic piece and is not coded to key. Not sure if there is supposed to be a different part. The screws are the same ones that attach the console lid on 07-10's.

Default console retrofit

Matt08JK is absolutely correct- good catch- the wiring is the same, only the switch buttons themselves are different. The housing and the plug-in are the same. Before buying the '11 switch, I am going to see how the one from my '09 fits in the new bezel once i get that.

Also, the dealer here ordered me a lock cylinder for the padded console and it was just the cylinder itself. He keyed it and I just "maneuvered" it in the hole in the lid. There were no screws. By the way, thanks so much Matt08JK for giving me that part number for the switch bezel!

Damn, reading this thread has just cost me $300.

The pics look awesome! I'll have to see about ordering the parts soon!

Default Center Console Bezel

I ordered the rear power window switch bezel (1UB68DX9AA)for my console retrofit and when it came in, it is the bezel for the 2-door JK. Looks like it is made to hold coins or a pair of sunglasses. Can someone check and see if they can determine the part number for a 4-door JK with the dark gray interior. This bezel is the only thing I am missing on my retrofit.

that is very odd... mine came in as the correct piece with provisions for the switches..

The dealer should be able to send a request back to Mopar for the equivelent part # for the unlimited...

Not sure what to say.

The problem I have run into and need help with is that the rear panel of the new console comes with a cutout for a bezel for the electric window switches for the rear windows. Went to the local Jeep dealer and they researched it(I watched) and saw the number for the switch bezel on the screen. It crossreferenced to another number, they ordered the part for me and when the part came in, it was the front bezel for the 110v power outlet that goes on front of the console. They said this happens all the time with the parts listing for Chrysler. Meanwhile, they said they would research further, but I was hoping someone would be willing to unsnap the rear panel from the console, 4 clips I believe, and see if there is a part number stamped on the bezel that the switches mount to. I am looking for the dark gray color.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Do you have the part # for the 110v power outlet? I would like to look into adding one to my Jeep.

Baggerman, thanks for your help on my console questions. Wondering if you found the right part for the rear window switches?

My center console parts finally all came in, and I have the same as you. Just a couple of black hooks that is the same as the 2 door console.

I am still looking for the part, but have reached no results yet. The descriptions in the parts listing tell essentially nothing- for instance, the description says "floor bezel" -

Yesterday, by process of elimination, I ordered 1UB90DX9aa and 1UB92DX9aa and both have a description of "Floor Bezel". so we'll see what happens.

Chadc880, would you be willing to popoff the rear panel of your console and see if there is a part number etched or label attached to the bezel that holds the switches? The end panel just pops off via 4 clips.
