You're amazing! I'm not even sure why your on this forum. It must be gut wrenching for you to have to answer a question that’s clearly mentioned in the owners manual. Its like using spell check before sending an email. We should all open our paperback dictionaries to spell check before pressing send.
You're freaking awesome Redneck!
I’m heading strait for the glove box, I am going to open that owners manual and read it from front to back. You know what, I’m bringing my dictionary to help me define what the big words mean.
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your obviously busy day to mention this Redneck! Your so full of …………common sense!

Read this post, tried it, didn't work.
Re read this post, tried it very carefully, didn't work.
Tried the key removal/door open , didn't work.
Now, I readily admit that I would like to get the light to stop blinking. Then there is that annoying boing sound.
It is so bad that I risk ridicule by my peers along with reduced self esteem as a result of my failure.
I need suggestions, please
This is going to be like asking if the TV is plugged in when someone tells you it won't turn on. So don't hate me for telling you to do things you have already tried, it's just in case you missed something.

close the door, insert the key, turn it to on, so all those pretty pictures light up and the gongs all sound. Take a deep breath, really, just give it a couple of seconds, then SLOWLY push the gas all the way to the floor, let off real slow, until your foot is off the pedal, 3 times, turn the key off, remove key, open door.

I know you have tried it exactly this way a dozen time already, but this is just in case you missed something, anything, just to get that damn dong to stop. I hope you get it, you can always try resetting the computer if it's really annoying you.

Default peddle pusher...

You may have tried this, but this is where i messed up the first time.
I didn't push the peddle down all the way to the floor.
The first time I tried it I just tapped the peddle three times.
I had done this on previous vehicles.
Hope this helps.

I'm glad you think I am so amazing. What's amazing to me is that people don't READ. I spent a lot of money on my Jeep and I have read EVERYTHING that came with it. I would consider someone who did not do the same inept.

Annoying I may be, but I am RIGHT. No hush up and all of you go read your owner's manuals. LOL
