Default Changed timing cover gasket.

I replaced the timing cover gasket this week due to a chronic oil leak. Whew what an ordeal. Changed the timing cover gasket, oil pan seal and crankshaft seal. Total of $54.00. Took longer than i thought. Ran in to a few issues, but it is done. So far so good. All back together with no leak yet.

If I get some time I might do a write up. I did not take many pictures due to the amount of oil that was on me.

Many Thanks to RonJenx for his help and knowledge.

Default How it running?

Looking forward to a writeup if you get a chance. Howbout an update? Were you having oil consumption issues before the leak got to the point you needed to change the seals? If so, are you still consuming?

Wondering because my seals are leaking as well, havent gotten around to fixing it but hoping that will fix my 1qt/1k consumption.

Nice to see a chain instead of a rubber belt. I have nightmares about my timing chain breaking in my Ranger.

I didn't use any special tools. I left the rad on. I wasn't consuming any oil, it was left on the drive, lol
