Default How do I fix a P0038 error Code.

So I called the stealorship and gave them the code. He said it's probly something simple and told me to check the gas cap. I asked if I needed to bring it in and he said if the check engine light is flashing, it's serious, if it's not, it's just something minor and there is no rush to get it in. It's not flashing and the jeep is running fine so I'm not to worried. Anyone got any ideas of other things I could check myself?

I don't. But, if no one gives you any ideas, you might start a fresh thread with the subject: "How Do I Fix a PXXXX Code?" and anyone who has seen it will likely chime in. Or, maybe you can just change this thread's title (I think you can do that in advanced edit mode).

Saw the other thread you started and then ran across this one. Same response on both:
"I got this code immediately after getting my oil changed at the dealership. Long story short after a lot of headaches they figured out that a wire going to the knock sensor was damaged somehow while changing the oil. Yeah to say the least I no longer go there."
This is not to say that the listing as an O2 sensor isn't accurate. I didn't see this thread prior to posting on the other. I wouldn't trust the dealership I was at to walk my dog much less be honest with me after such a screw up. So take it for what it's worth.

Got and Android Phone..or Iphone for that matter? I downloaded the App "Torque" and pruchased a $30 bluetooth OBDII scanner from Amazon its called the GOLITION Power 2. It gives real time data, reads and clears codes. total cost was &40 because I got the full service application for $5. This has saved me and a few friends the trouble of going to a auto parts store to read a code and allowed me to reset a self induced code after I pop started my Jeep from a dead battery. You can set the device to read codes from any vehicle you have, so it'll work on the minivan too...
