Default Check engine light question
Light is on when key is on, but goes off and never comes back while driving - should I worry ?

The light will illuminate when the ignition is in the ON position before engine start.
Does it go out when you start the engine?

Yes - goes off. Is this normal?

Yep that's normal. Just to let you know it's working, they test that when you get your emissions tested (if you live somewhere that requires that)
